When you visit Scottsdale, you can expect to find some of the hottest events in all of the Southwest. Scottsdale continues to be a trendsetter in lively events and activities that are sure to make your vacation in the area one to remember. One popular event will be returning very soon to critical acclaim. Of course, we are talking about nothing else but Arizona Restaurant Week! Each year, Arizona Restaurant Week takes place over the Phoenix Valley to thunderous fanfare. It is always a popular event and is almost here again. Take a look at what you can expect from Arizona Restaurant Week this year in Scottsdale:
What is Arizona Restaurant Week
If you have not visited Arizona before or have never participated in Arizona Restaurant Week, you may be unfamiliar with the event. This is a 10-day event that returns each year to give foodies and restaurant lovers a chance to try some of their favorite restaurants along with some new ones. Arizona Restaurant Week actually takes place in both the spring and fall seasons, giving locals two chances a year to indulge their taste buds. The spring season event is starting soon on May 17th and runs all the way through May 26th. Local restaurants are allowed to participate in the event and offer meals starting at $33 per person. This event allows businesses to bring in customers who may not have known the restaurant existed before setting them up as future patrons—and the customers get one heck of a deal during the event, too!
Participating Restaurants in Scottsdale
If you’re staying in Scottsdale, you will want to know all about the local restaurants in the area that are participating in the event. Scottsdale is home to some of the most popular and award-winning restaurants in all of Arizona. Arizona Restaurant Week currently has 160 different restaurants lined up with more on the way. All of these restaurants are spread out around the Phoenix Valley. However, you will find the majority of them are right here in Scottsdale. The city has 70 restaurants lined up for Arizona Restaurant Week, the most of any Phoenix suburb. Take a look at what some of our favorites are and what you can find on the menu:
B&B Cocktail Lounge
Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge, more commonly referred to as B&B Cocktail Lounge, is a sophisticated yet casual bar right here in Old Town Scottsdale. The dishes are expertly prepared and the cocktails are always creative. They are known for their rare selection of bourbon, whiskey, and wine that are curated from all over the world. Their Arizona Restaurant Week dish is $55 per person and offers you a choice of starter between baked mushroom dip or spicy veggie roll. Next up, choose an entrée from the 7-ounce NY strip or seafood pasta. Finally, patrons have a choice of dessert of lemon tart or vanilla crème brûlée. Make sure to pair your meal with one of their delicious cocktails for the full experience!
The Mission
Another local favorite right here in Old Town Scottsdale is renowned restaurant The Mission. This Latin cuisine favorite mixes up recipes from Central America, South America, Spain, and Mexico for an incredible menu. All of the tortilla, salsas, and sauces are made in house fresh each day. The meat is infused with pecan and mesquite wood for delightful flavors. Patrons will have a choice of either lunch or dinner when they visit The Mission.
The lunch offering for Arizona Restaurant Week starts at $33 per person. You will get your choice of starter including chipotle Caesar salad, crispy pork and cola lima glaze, or black bean frybread; all guests will also be provided with complimentary Mission chips and smoked house salsa. Next, pick out your entrée with options including Peruvian carne torta, camarones a la diabla, or Chimayo marinated mushroom tacos. Dessert rounds out the selection between your choice of pumpkin bread pudding or espresso churros. Yum!
The dinner selection elevates your options and starts at $44 per person. The starter selection swaps out the Caesar salad for an option to pick dungeness and snow crab tostada among the other options. The entrée selection also elevates the experience between Faroe Island salmon, creekstone filet, or the cauliflower Veracruz, perfect for any vegetarians in your party. The same dessert options remain, which we honestly cannot complain about. The full-service bar can whip up any cocktail to order including their specialty margaritas.
