Hike the McDowell Sonoran Preserve
Scottsdale and quite a bit of Arizona are huge destinations for hiking enthusiasts. This is a challenging hiking trail that is roughly 4 miles in length. You will have a 1,200 foot elevation gain over the trail that consists of switch backs. While the trail is difficult you will find the views to be well worth the effort. If you are hiking with family, there are several other trails to explore as well. Trails including Gateway Loop Trail and Sunrise Peak are both considered to be moderately challenging hikes that are more easily accessible.
