Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration
Whenever you visit a new destination for a holiday such as the 4th of July, you will want to check out the local holiday events. Here in Scottsdale the fun always continues with countless events all around. There is no bigger event for the 4th of July than the official 4th of July Celebration taking place at West World. This is the official Scottsdale 4th of July celebration and is scheduled to be the biggest one yet! The 4th of July Celebration takes place on July 4th with an evening filled with family friendly activities.
The event kicks off at 5:00 PM, and you can find quite a bit to do inside. West World is a giant event venue here in Scottsdale that is popular for rodeos. Part of the activities will be Copper State Rodeo bull riding that is always a fan favorite. The kids can get into mutton busting for a little bit of fun too. Tons of lively games including musical chairs, cake walks, and more will be held on the main stage.
The festivities will also include patriotic activities including the presentation of colors, the National Anthem, and the 6th Annual Parade of Heroes. For some light hearted fun check out the 3rd Annual Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest. 14 finalists will take the main stage eating as much as they can for the grand prize!
A family friendly activity that is sure to be a hit is the 4th Annual Water Balloon Championship. Pairs of two can join the competition that has multiple rounds throughout the evening with a championship round taking place just before the main event!
Speaking of which, you cannot celebrate the 4th of July without a dazzling display of fireworks. This event features the largest fireworks display in all of Scottsdale’s history making it a giant celebration not seen elsewhere. Live Critters at the Arizona Boardwalk
Scottsdale is full of family friendly attractions that will make your weekend in the area as memorable as ever. Take the family over to Arizona Boardwalk where you can find several animal themed attractions. OdySea Aquarium has become a Scottsdale staple since opening and is a full-size aquarium. Enjoy the spacious underwater habitats complete with rays, sharks, sea turtles, and much more. Interactive exhibits let you meet the penguins or dive underwater with sharks and rays swimming around you.
Butterfly Wonderland is another great attraction found right next door. Here you can be surrounded by thousands of butterflies in an enclosed atrium.
