Summer Concert Series at Railroad Park
The summer season is a great time to enjoy a lineup of live musical acts. If rotating artists of weekly concerts sounds up your alley, head on over to the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park for their annual Summer Concert Series. Every Sunday night starting at 7:00 PM the Railroad Park will host a different musical artist. The event is absolutely free and is perfect for families to attend. In fact, the Railroad Park has been named one of the top music venues in the state of Arizona, so you can expect a great time. The series continues through the month of June until June 23rd when the final performance is scheduled.
The month of June features artists including Outside the Lines, Candle in the Wind, Backdoor Funk, and DJ TranzL8R. You will find a variety of genres on deck including Motown, Top 40, funk, R&B, and many more. The event features a rotating selection of food trucks too so the family will never have to go hungry. Let the kids take a break from the music by enjoying train and carousel rides that are just $3 each. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some time in the park. Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market
There is nothing better than feeling like a local whenever you visit somewhere new. One of the best ways to do just that is by visiting the local farmers’ market. Luckily, Old Town Scottsdale has its own farmers’ market that runs until the end of June, just in time for your trip. This will be the 14th consecutive year for the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market that features over 100 local growers from the region. You will find a variety of pesticide free and organic produce along with season specialties, flowers, beef, natural pork, fish, and free range eggs. If you need ingredients for your meal at your vacation rental, simply stop by the market. You can even purchase seasonal goods too such as fresh baked artisan bread, fine cheeses, tamales, jams, and much more. The farmers’ market can be found of Brown Ave between 1st and 2nd Streets right by The Mission Restaurant. During the month of June the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market will be open every Sunday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Don’t miss out on this local event!
June Days
What makes one event even better is by having it be a combination of smaller events all throughout the month. That is where June Days comes in with its selection of incredible events. This is a celebration of all things that make Scottsdale so unique. You will find a variety of events including crafting workshops, art exhibits, wine tastings, family oriented outings, and live music performances. This year’s June Days will include awesome events such as the Wine Trail, Printmaking for Tweens, Wonderspaces, Gold Palette Art Walk, Glow Up Party, and much more. The events run all throughout the month of June so no matter when you visit you will find June Days events waiting for you.
Arizona Summer Events at Camp Ocean
Give the kids a unique and educational experience like no other when you sign them up for Camp Ocean. This exciting summer camp takes place over at OdySea Aquarium where the kids will have all kinds of camps to choose from. The Fins, Feathers, and Fur: All About Animals camp is great for grades 1-2 where they learn about the unique animals on the ocean floor. Land, Sea, and Sky: Habitats of the World is for grades 3-5 and focuses on the different habitats our ocean critters live in. Finally, Junior Marine Biologists: Care & Conversation is great for middle schoolers as they better understand the planet and our oceans. Make sure to take a tour of OdySea Aquarium too to see some truly stunning habitats.
